Cucamonga Wilderness is a federally designated wilderness area located in the eastern San Gabriel Mountains in San Bernardino County, California. The area encompasses 12,781 acres within both Angeles National Forest and San Bernardino National Forest and is managed by the United State Forest Service. 

This mountainous terrain is characterized by rugged, steep slopes that rise sharply from the valley floor. The elevation range for the wilderness area is between 5,000 feet to just below 9,000 feet. 

VEGETATION AND WILDLIFE

The forest consists of mixed conifer with Ponderosa, Jeffrey, and Douglas-Fir pine trees. And, the area is home to numerous types of wildlife including deer, black bears, mountain lions, and bighorn sheep.
