The Four Corners Trail is a 5.3 mile roundtrip out-and-back path that begins at Ronald Reagan Park and follows a path that weaves through a variety of landscapes along the outskirts of the Weir Canyon area.
Starting from a marked trailhead near the back of the concrete loop in the park, the wide dirt path ascends and descends before beginning on a near straight line course. At times the trail is lined by homes or apartments, hilly green space, and rugged sage scrub canyon.
While the trail seems to rarely be flat, much of the elevation changes occur over an extended period of time, so the climbs and dips never seem too extreme.
The path passes through a few distinct sections, with the most notable change occuring at just short of 2 miles into the trail when the path leaves Orange County Parks jurisdiction and enters Anaheim City Parks area. The path takes on a wilder feel at this point, as it veers from its straight course and enters into a larger green space, beginning a switchback climb to a high point before a steep drop down a rugged path, ultimately emerging at a trailhead along the side of a busy road.
The Four Corners Trail is a good multi use path, with its longer distance allowing users to customize their route.
Bathrooms and water are located at Ronald Reagan Park. The trail is open varying hours (depending upon which jurisdiction oversees the section), generally around 7am until sunset.
