Mummy Rock Nature Trail is a 1.1-mile out-and-back hike located in Deukmejian Wilderness Park, northeast of Los Angeles, in the foothills of Angeles National Forest. It's a short, relatively easy hike that's accessible to most people of all ages and abilities (unfortunately, it's not ADA-compliant).

It is a single track trail lined with native desert plants such as chaparral, manzanita, yucca, sage, oak trees, and various desert scrub plants. Within Dunsmore Canyon, the trail lies in the shadow of Mount Lukens, a prominent peak  in the San Gabriel Mountains. It provides scenic views of Glendale, Los Angeles, and on a clear day, you can see as far as the Pacific Ocean.

This area is the perfect location for locals to enjoy some peaceful nature and escape the hustle and bustle of the city below. The Mummy Rock Nature Trail connects to several other nearby trails including Le Mesnager Loop Trail and Dunsmore Canyon Trail, providing access to exploring further in the San Gabriel foothills.

The trails in this area open year-round and are popular for trail running, hiking, and nature viewing.
