North Shore Campground is located in the San Bernardino Mountains in an area where Lake Arrowhead meets the forested backcountry.

With 27 sites located along a couple paved loop roads, North Shore Campground feels much further away from the nearby tourist town than it is. Set on the cusp of the hillside where the tall pine tree lined mountains turn to high desert oaks and grasses, North Shore has more of a dry feel to it.

Each camp site contains a picnic table, a fire pit with grill, and a food lockers to help prevent bears from feeding here. Some sites are clustered nearer to each other, however as you head to the outer portions of the loop roads, you'll find sites with few, if any, neighbors.

Campers can self pay at the entrance station. Reservations can be made beforehand on, and reservations are stongly suggested as the campground can fill up during high season weekends. On weekends, the campground has a two night minimum for reservations, three nights on holiday weekends. A couple sites are first come, first served.

The campground does not offer access to Lake Arrowhead, as it is set just under a mile away. However there are two points in the campground which access the backcountry multi use trails.

North Shore Recreational Trail access is at a signed trailhead behind Site 11, and access to the North Shore Loop bike and OHV trails can be found behind Site 27.

Water and flush bathrooms are located throughout the campground. A host is onsite.

North Shore Campground does not have sites with water or electrical hook ups. The campground operating season is from mid-April until October 1st annually.

Visitors should note that Lake Arrowhead is a private lake, and campers do not have access to it.
