The Sierra College Nature Trail is a large looping dirt path in the Sierra foothill environment beside the Sierra College campus.

The trail has a pretty nondescript trailhead, located between the multi level parking garage and Lot J on the campus, but after leaving the buildings behind, the path weaves through grassy hillside before dropping down to a bridge spanning a small creek. From here the trail begins to climb and meander through grass and tree filled terrain that is quiet with the exception of busy Interstate 80 located immediately beside portions of the path.

Called an "outdoor laboratory" by the college, it's not unusual to see classes or individuals engaging in geology, horticulture, biology or photography along the trail. Those interested in learning more about the flora and fauna along the trail and throughout the area might also consider purchasing the Sierra Foothills Nature Guide published by Sierra College Press.

Dogs and bicycles are not permitted on the trail. Hikers visiting on weekends can expect to see fewer people on the trail when classes are not in session.

There are no amenities at the trailhead or along the hike.
