Twin Lakes Vista is a viewpoint located just above the town of Mammoth Lakes, California. From town, drive up Lake Mary Road until you arrive at Twin Lakes. Alternatively you can hike or bike the paved Lakes Basin Path all the way from town to the vista.

From the vista point you’ll see Twin Lakes backdropped against the Mammoth Crest. Crystal Crag also stands prominently in the background. There are a few informative signs here that tell of the history and geography of the area.

Twin Lakes are first lakes visitors come to within the Mammoth Lakes Basin. Many more lakes lie in wait, just beyond Twin Lakes. Some can be accessed by road (during summer months), while others require a hike of varying length. Be sure to take some more time to explore the area while you’re here!
