Vasquez Rocks Natural Area and Nature Center is a family-friendly hiking and picnic area in the high desert of northern Los Angeles County. This area is known for its interesting landscape and unique sandstone rock formations that can be seen from Highway 14 and have appeared in multiple movies, television shows, and commercials. 

COMMON VEGETATION

Most of the area consists of California chaparral and woodlands with scrub oak, juniper, yucca, manzanita, sagebrush, and buckwheat. 

ACTIVITIES

Animal exhibits, trails, nature center, picnic tables, camping, hiking, horseback riding, nature walks, plant walks, bird watching, and more.  

SEASON: The park is open from March through October. 

HOURS: Tuesday - Sunday 8:00am - 7:30pm (closed Mondays)
