Ta Som is smaller than some of the other main temples at Angkor. The single gate entrance from the road is unassuming as you enter the west gate. The main attraction here is the east gate. Work your way through the temple grounds passing several structures and libraries. Near the end of the straight walk back you will see the west side of the east gate. The view is not very impressive from this side, but pass through the gate and turn around to see one of the more photographed gates at Angkor. A tree has engulfed the doorway with exposed roots. A wide angle lens will be helpful.
