Brandywine Falls is the biggest, most impressive waterfall in the Whistler area, and thanks to its convenient location and accessibility, it is also one of the most popular sight-seeing stops along Highway 99. This provincial park is designed to accommodate a lot of traffic with a large parking area, abundant picnic tables, garbage bins, and washrooms all surrounding the entrance.

From here a 10- to 20-minute walk on a wide, flat trail leads to a large and sturdy viewing platform. Visitors can stand perched on the edge of a cliff just across from where Brandywine Creek pours over an overhanging ledge, free-falling 70 metres into a deep pool below. This waterfall is truly spectacular, and its free fall height makes it unique among the other popular waterfalls in the area. Legend has it that the falls (and subsequently the creek) were named by a couple of railway surveyors who bet a bottle of brandy on who could accurately guess the height of the falls.

Aside from the short walk to the viewing platform, there are several other hiking and mountain biking options in the area. Swim Lake and Lava Lake trails begin from here, and the Sea to Sky Trail runs through the park and connects with Whistler to the north and Squamish to the south.
