Charleson Park is one of Vancouver's larger parks. Well hidden on the edge of False Creek and with little proper road access, it goes undiscovered by most until they pass it on the popular False Creek Sea Wall. The park itself has a pond and more forested environs in the north and south and on the southeastern corner. It's an excellent spot for fort building and urban forest play. In the middle is the off-leash dog park and the sports fields. The western edge has more groves of trees and a playground. To the north runs the sea wall and bike path.

On foot, the park can be accessed by the False Creek Sea Wall or the Laurel Street land bridge that connects with the 7th Avenue Bike Path. Driving by car, access the park via the intersection beneath the Granville Street Bridge near the entrance to Granville Island. If you are driving along 6th Avenue, turn onto Alder Crossing and then right down Lamey's Mill Road. The street ends at the bus-only road, and parking is availble here.
