Crystal Lodge is the classic Whistler Village hotel. If you’ve visited Whistler before, chances are high that you’ve walked by it many times along the Village Stroll. Truly located “at the centre of it all,” the lodge is surrounded by restaurants and retail shops, and it is just 200 meters from Whistler Base chairlifts. And it’s been around for 30 years. The Nancy Greene Olympic Lodge — Whistler’s first hotel — originally opened in 1986.

The Nancy Greene Olympic Lodge was built by skiers, for skiers. Named after Ski World Cup winner and Olympic gold medalist Nancy Greene — Canada’s Female Athlete of the Century — the lodge was built by Nancy and her husband, Canadian National Ski Team coach Al Raine. Though it has changed ownership and undergone extensive renovations over the years, today’s Crystal Lodge is as comfortable, convenient, and adventure-ready as ever.

Crystal Lodge features a total of 158 guestrooms, from traditional double and king rooms to deluxe studios and suites. Guests can expect a comfortable bed, Village Stroll or surrounding area views, a mini-fridge, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and more in every room. Take a swim in the outdoor heated pool, relax in the sauna, or soak in the hot tub after a day on the slopes.

One of Whistler’s greatest assets is its year-round attractions. Whether you’re skiing or snowboarding during winter, mountain biking or hiking during summer, or simply in town for the events and nightlife, Crystal Lodge caters to everyone. One of the few pet-friendly hotels in Whistler, they offer the Crystal Canine Program for furry friends including complimentary blanket, bowl, treats, and more. You can stow your bike in the lobby or take advantage of the ski valet — both complimentary.

The staff are friendly and helpful. Outdoor enthusiasts themselves (working in Whistler is a conscious decision, no doubt), they’re happy to offer up adventure advice and point you in the right direction. Crystal Lodge is all about creating an “authentic Whistler Experience” — something they are uniquely positioned to do — both historically and geographically. There’s no hotel more established or centrally located in all of Whistler.
