Just a few steps out of Whistler Village, the Nordic center at Lost Lake Park offers a network of 25 kilometers of cross-country skiing trails and 15 kilometers of snowshoe trails for visitors of varying ability levels. The trails are groomed daily for skate-style and classic-style skiing, and there are many different possible loops to explore. The trails weave through the forested area surrounding Lost Lake, the Fairmont Chateau, and Nicklaus North Golf Courses, and there are a variety of landscapes and viewpoints at different points along the way.

The Lost Lake Passivhaus sits at the entrance to the park just north of Parking Lot 5 in Whistler Village. Home to Cross Country Connection, visitors can use washrooms, rent snowshoes or cross-country ski gear, sign up for lessons, or grab a bite to eat and a warm beverage in the cafe. There is also a washroom and small warming hut located next to Lost Lake at the main beach area of the park.

Lost Lake is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. from mid-December until late March with a 4-kilometer loop around the lake that’s lit up for night skiing. Dogs are not permitted in the park during winter operations, so it is recommended that skiers with canine companions check out the 8 kilometers of free cross-country trails between Rainbow Park and Meadow Park, which permit dogs on leash and are also groomed somewhat regularly.
