Officially the highest trailhead on Fromme Mountain, 7th Secret is worth the climb. Newly reinforced and updated, the trail is similar to a cobblestone road that twists through the forest. The trails can often deteriorate over a season without proper care and maintenance, so many rocks and boulders have been buried into the trail for support.

The trail has a technical start, but nothing too difficult. All of the log rides and rock rolls have alternate routes around them, but they still keep you on your toes and up off of the saddle. 7th connects directly with Leppard, which is still technical but much less steep. The trail takes advantage of a flat area on the mountain and crosses a few streams bogs. The next link up is Crinkum/Crankum, another North Shore classic that has been upgraded and rejuvenated. There are lots of steep, tight switchbacks and optional wood and rock rolls that are a little harder than the ones found on 7th Secret. An abrupt end signals the beginning of Kirkford. There are more tight switchbacks, but they are less technical and consist of more dirt than rock, so the trail has pretty good flow for being so tight. Kirkford will lead you out to Cedar Tree Trail, which is little more than a gravel path connecting you back to the fire road. From here it's up for another lap or down to the parking lot to call it a day.

This loop is one of the longest on the mountain. With the amount of fun you'll have and all the new improvements made, this should be on your adventure to-do-list.
