Paradise Meadows is family-friendly, wheelchair-accessible alpine hike that can help absolutely anybody get into the alpine and enjoy the views. The boardwalk for large sections of the loop was constructed in 2011 for the BC Parks' 100-year anniversary. The boardwalk goes through the alpine meadows at the base of Strathcona Park. The Centennial Loop is fully wheelchair accessible. The Paradise Meadows loop just beyond Centennial is accessible to trail wheelchairs.
BC Parks has added select signage to help identify foliage. Naturalist walks are hosted throughout the summer. Check at the trailhead for dates and times. This loop is only scratching the surface of Strathcona Park. While there is no camping available in Paradise Meadows, campsites at lakes a few kilometers farther are possible to turn this hike into a backpacking trip. Note that the trail opening is snow-dependent. Call the park for snow levels and trail conditions.
