The Peak 2 Peak Gondola is one of the world's longest gondolas, and at present it is the highest at 462 meters off the valley floor. Built to connect Whistler and Blackhomb mountains, it is both a useful means to get quickly from one massive peak to another and a tourist draw. The views on the lift are incredible. On a clear day the whole Spearhead Range is visible, including Overlord, Cheakamus and Fissile. Come summer, it is common to see bikers, bears, and plentiful wildflowers below the gondola. It also gives you a chance to admire Fitzimmons Creek and the many less-viewed trails of the valley floor.

Park at the Whistler Village day lot and walk the path toward the mountain. Tickets vary in price seasonally and can be purchased at the Whistler gondola. From here, take the main Whistler gondola up to the roundhouse. At the roundhouse, walk out the door, and the big grey warehouse-like building housing Peak 2 Peak is visible. You can elect to take the first gondola that comes or wait 20 minutes for the grey gondolas, which have glass floors for better viewing. In summer, they can be worth the wait as bears often forage directly beneath the lift in the meadows created during construction.
