Rebecca Spit Marine Provincial Park is an easy day trip to visit on Quadra Island, a 10-minute ferry ride from Campbell River. It can also serve as a lunch spot to stop by on the way to Cortes Island. As a destination or rest break, Rebecca Spit is a window into exploring the Northern Gulf Islands.

Have lunch at one of the many picnic tables by the ocean. The highlight views look toward Heriot Bay/Drew Harbour and across the Straight of Georgia toward peaks on the mainland. Whales are regularly sighted on the ferries and can be seen from the spit—bring your binoculars.

Rebecca Spit should be one stop of many on Quadra Island. At over 300 square kilometers, it has options for rock climbing, mountain biking, and kayaking. Make Quadra Island your destination or a stop on the way to Cortes Island.

To get to Rebecca Spit, take the ferry from Campbell River to Quadra Island. Off the ferry, follow signs for the Cortes Island ferry. After a right turn onto Heriot Bay Road, pass the school and continue straight, taking a left turn at the T-intersection at the top of the hill. Take a right on Rebecca Spit Road, which enters the park.
