Strawberry Flats Campground is a provincially operated campground located on the shores of beautiful Muncho Lake. This campground is a popular stop for Alaska Highway travelers and is located approximately 250 kilometers northwest of Fort Nelson. The quaint 15-unit campground sits on the southeast shore of the emerald green Muncho Lake and offers expansive views of the surrounding Northern Rocky Mountains, one of the most scenic areas along the entire Alaska Highway corridor.

Each campsite features a picnic table and fire ring, and the campsites are large enough to accommodate everything from tent users to large fifth-wheel trailers and motor homes. All campsite are designed for back-in use and are without hookups, so be prepared for dry camping if you are planning a stay here.

Most of the units have direct access to the lakeshore, and some are located across the campground access road from the lake and can be considered mountain view sites. There are vault toilets situated on each end of the campground, and there is a garbage disposal area and a water pump available as well. The park operator makes rounds in the evening and offers firewood for sale.

Strawberry Flats Campground and MacDonald Campground are the only two campgrounds in Muncho Lake Provincial Park, which is a popular destination for outdoor enthusiasts looking to fish, kayak, canoe, or take advantage of the many hiking opportunities in the park.

Special Notes: It should be mentioned that neither provincial campground in Muncho Lake Provincial Park accepts reservations, so it is recommend that travelers arrive as early as possible to ensure the campground does not fill up before they arrive. Also, wildlife such as caribou and stone sheep frequent the park, so keep an eye out when staying at the campground or hiking in the area.
