Summit Ridge Trail is located near the east entrance to Stone Mountain Provincial Park and features a short but gradual uphill climb to a viewpoint that offers panoramic views of the Summit Lake area.

The trail begins directly across the road from a pullout in the small creek drainage. Approximately 50 meters from the highway, the trail leads up and into the mostly pine forest clambering up the ridge. Hikers will find flagging tape that will lead up a series of steep elevation gains before reaching an alpine meadow about 1 kilometer from the trailhead.

Continuing in a southwest direction through the meadow will lead to the final elevation gain up the stone ridge and to a large rock cairn marking the trail's final destination. From the viewpoint, full panoramic views looking down toward Summit Lake, Flower Springs Trail, and the Summit Tower Road can be enjoyed on one side and a beautiful unnamed river valley to the other.

Special Notes: Early summer is a great time to find wildflowers in the alpine meadow section of the trail. Also, late summer is a good time to find wild blueberries.
