Sunnyside Campground isn't exactly what you might think of when you think of a "campground." Indeed, it does have most of the things you think of, but it is really more akin to a mini-township. Its scale astonishing, and it includes:

  • 353 seasonal sites (semi-permanent encampments rented by the season, April 15 through September 30)
  • 104 full hook-up RV sites
  • 134 tent sites
  • 2 group sites

Its layout, which provides no privacy between campsites, was implemented in the same fashion as military bunkers, with efficiency the main priority. Character and appeal certainly came second. In fact, with 593 total sites, its easily the largest campground in British Columbia and certainly a contender for North America.

So, why come? It has direct access to Cultus Lake, a great swimming beach, extensive amenities and facilities, and it is a 1.6-kilometer walk to Cultus Lake Park + Main Beach and Cultus Lake Waterpark.

Campground amenities include:

  • Swimming beach and dock
  • Potable water
  • Restrooms with hot showers
  • Laundromat
  • General store
  • Recreational and meeeting room
  • Basketball courts
  • Volleyball courts
  • Horseshoe pits
  • Boat ramp
  • Boat rentals

Note: Sunnyside Campground is typically open from mid-April (Easter Weekend) through the end of September. Call 604.858.5253 for opening date specifics. Rates and fees vary for all sites based on low and high season. Visit Sunnyside Campground official website for details.
