Tetsa River Campground is a spacious, well-maintained park approximately 96 kilometers northwest of Fort Nelson along the Alaska Highway. The 25-site campground lies on the banks of the Tetsa River and is a poplar destination for anglers who are after the many bull trout and Arctic grayling that the Tetsa contains.

The campground is managed by the Northern Rockies Regional Municipality, and it has an operator on-site at all times. Firewood is included in the registration fee, which is a nice bonus compared to other campgrounds in the area. Each site features a spacious picnic area including a picnic table and fire ring. There are vault toilets scattered throughout the park, garbage bins, and a potable water pump. The campground itself is set in the boreal forest ecosystem that engulfs the Northern Rocky Mountain foothills, which offers welcome shade in the warmer months.

The park also has a day-use area with a children's playground and enclosed picnic shelter, which is also available to those who might be tenting and looking to get out of the weather.

Special notes: The Tetsa River area is a haven for large wildlife such as moose, elk and deer who feed on the willow along the river bed. It is always a good idea to have your camera or binoculars ready at all times when camping in the park.
