The Coastal Trail in Gros Morne National Park is a short 3.7 mile out-and-back trail along the coast of Newfoundland. It offers beautiful views of the rocky beaches and towering cliffs in the distance, as well as a glimpse of the quiet coniferous forests and coastal tuckamore bushes that are common throughout the area.

The trail can be done from either end as an out-and-back hike. The northern end, the usual start and end point, leaves from the Green Point Campground; the southern end leaves from a small parking lot at Baker's Brook bridge. The trail is mostly along dirt or sand, and is relatively easy, flat walking. The trail passes close to the beach for much of its length, offering opportunities to walk along the large, rocky coastline. The trail used to be the old winter mail road between Baker's Brook and Green Point.

The Coastal Trail also passes through a small section of dark, quiet forest, a stark contrast to the ocean. The trail also passes a few small patches of tuckamore, a small coniferous bush found throughout Gros Morne National Park. Tuckamore has dense branches on the surface, but here some of the branches have been trimmed so that visitors can actually walk inside of some of these tuckamore bushes.

Offering a short, beautiful, and relaxing walk along the ocean, the Coastal Trail is a great way to spend a calm afternoon or a refreshing morning coastal walk in Gros Morne National Park.
