The Indian Creek Equestrian Campground is an ideal place for horseback riders who are looking to get away into the mountains, but don’t want to drive too far from Denver. The Indian Creek Trail takes off from the campground and leads to the Colorado Trail where endless horseback riding opportunities await. Riders can also make a 14 mile loop that will lead right back to the campground.

The campground features 7 campsites. Parking spurs 50-60 ft. long to accommodate horse trailers, but only 10 people and four horses max are allowed per campsite. You’ll find hitching rails and some small corrals provided. Drinking water is on hand from spigots, but there is no watering trough available.

Of course you’ll also find a picnic table and fire ring at each campsite. There are also vault toilets available for use within the campground.

The Forest Service asks that any hay brought to this campground be certified weed-free.

Reservations are available and can be made at recreation.gov.
