Dingmans Falls

Dingmans Falls is the second tallest waterfall in Pennsylvania and is one of the most visited tourist attractions at the Delaware Water Gap. With a vertical drop of 130 feet, it's a beautiful scene nestled in the beautiful forests of the Delaware Water Gap. 

Just a short 0.3-mile trek from the parking lot, you will find yourself staring up at a beast of a waterfall. If you're feeling adventurous, take the last 0.1-mile hike up the stairs to the top for dramatic view of the falls. The walk to the falls is on a boardwalk, making the falls ADA-accessible. While the boardwalk makes for an easy walk, it serves a greater purpose. It is there to protect the old-growth forest and the elements within, so please don't deviate from the path. The path gives you great views of the Dingmans Creek and crosses over it at multiple points.

But don't overlook Silverhead Falls either or the amazing wildflowers growing along the boardwalk. Just as you you begin your journey down the boardwalk, you will find this gorgeous waterfall running through a ravine. Come during the fall and the ravine will be surrounded by the beautiful fall colors of Pennsylvania. If your there from late spring until early summer, you will be treated to a show only the pink rhododendrons, that line the boardwalk, can show you. 

When visiting the Delaware Water Gap, there is plenty to see and do. Just a short drive up the road you will find one of the three swimming beaches in the Delaware Water Gap, Milford Beach. Be sure to check out the Pocono Environmental Center for some great educational information of the area.
