Long Creek Falls is a short and easy hike that leads to a small but scenic waterfall. The hike follows both the Appalachian and Benton MacKaye Trails.

You’ll begin from Three Forks along Forest Road 58. This is where Long Creek, Stover Creek and Chester Creek join and is a lovely spot.

Follow the Appalachian/Benton MacKaye Trail northward as it follows Long Creek upstream. The trail is flat to begin with, but eventually gains a small amount of elevation.

At about 9/10ths of a mile is a short side trail to the left. Take it. This leads to Long Creek Falls.

The beautiful small waterfall is a delight. There are some large rocks near the fall to sit, relax and enjoy the view.

Once you’ve had enough, return the way you came to the trailhead.
