The ultimate adventure guide

With the burly storage sack, fitting this into the MSR Alpinist 2 Pot Set is nearly impossible.
If you leave the storage sack out and don't mind scratching your pot, you can just barely get everything stuffed in.
One big issue with this unit is that the cup will deform at high temperatures. Supposedly this issue has been fixed. It does create a slightly deformed flame, but it is otherwise more of a cosmetic problem.
The stainless steel pump is a little heavier, but you can't fault the durability, especially for cold weather camping.
The alternative jets are stored in one of the leg struts.
This means dirt and debris frequently finds it's way inside. There is a pin in the jet screw tool, so be sure to use it to clean the housing out before installing it.
Glove-friendly adjustments allow for simmering.
Adjusting the jets is easy thanks to the tool that comes with it.
The threaded attachment is one of the better aspects to this stove. It makes switching fuel types incredibly simple: no tools, no extra parts needed.
Priming instructions are printed on the inside of the very heavy storage bag. This bag weighs about 112 grams and is not counted in the official weight. Leave it at home.
Even on rough and rocky ground, this is a very stable stove.
