There are two approaches to the route. The Southern approach follows a river through beautiful heath lands.

The trail comes and goes as is common in the highlands. Caisteal Liath is the peak straight ahead with Portcullis Gulley just out of sight.

Once you've gained the ridge there is a solid trail. The Southern peak, Meall Beag, is the ore impressive.
