The first part of the trail is up a dry wash.
Leaving the wash, the trail winds through a maze of red hills.
Finally up on the ridge, the views open up considerably.
At times the trail undulates like a roller coaster.
Great views of the rocky hills all around.
Split Mountain is visible down the canyon.
The rock colors and shapes are remarkable.
The last part of the trail climbs down some slickrock slopes.
The plain of the Green River to the east.
Some of the trail requires some scrambling.
Still a few wildflowers in October!
