The trail is marked with scree walls and cairns above treeline; be sure to stay within the walls so as not to disrupt the fragile plants that grow at the summit (including in gravel areas!).

To the southwest the views extend towards the Dix Range and the southern high peaks, although many are obscured by Rocky Peak Ridge.
