Upper Lake contains a free campground, as well as day use area, lake access and a hiking trail operated by the US Fish and Wildlife Service.

The campground and wildlife refuge sit in quiet part of the state, meaning that it is possible you may share the campground with only a couple other visitors.

With 15 total sites, the last ones sit at the end of a long dead end road, which offer the most privacy and space from other visiting vehicles.
