Malad Summit Campground is a quaint campground located up a gravel road and situated alongside Mill Creek. The area is nice and secluded, one wouldn’t guess they are not far from the Interstate. In addition to camping, you’ll also find opportunities nearby for hiking, horseback riding and 4x4 off-roading.

The campsites are well shaded, with a dense cover of maple trees. The creek flows through the camping area and offers good cutthroat and rainbow trout fishing. Mosquitoes can be an annoyance during the summer months.

At each campsite you’ll find a picnic table, campfire ring and grill. In addition to the typical single campsites there is one large group site that can accommodate up to 125 people.

You’ll also find vault toilets and drinking water within the campground.

Reservations can be made online at recreation.gov, or campsites can be secured on a first come, first served basis.
