Tower Rock Campground

Tower Rock Campground is located alongside the Salmon River, just off Highway 93. The area is an important historical site as Lewis and Clark camped here on their journey westward. The impressive Tower Rock that can be seen from the campground was described by William Clark as a “Clift of dark brown flint.”

In addition to the impressive rock formation, the campground also offers great river access. Campers can fish from the fishing platforms, or boaters can get onto the water via the boat ramp.

The campground itself is small with only 6 sites total (2 of which are tent only sites). The campsites are out in the open with no shade and little privacy. You’ll find a picnic table and fire ring with grill at each campsite.

There are vault toilets located within the campground, but no other amenities otherwise.

Campsites are first come, first served (no reservations possible).
