Elliot Falls (sometimes referred to as Miners Beach Falls) is a small, little known waterfall in Upper Michigan’s Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. Although this waterfall is not that well known, it is quite easy to get to. Elliot Falls is located about an 1/8 of a mile from the east end of Miners Beach. Park at a small parking lot at the eastern end of Miners Beach Road and head north the Lakeshore Trail (which is part of the North Country Trail) on reaching the east end of Miners Beach.

A small creek leaves the forest sliding down the Au Train Formation sandstone rock with a drop of about three feet. The creek then drops another three feet over a rocky ledge onto layers of sandstone near the shore of Lake Superior. Its location near the scenic rocky shoreline makes it a favorite subject for photographers. Elliot Falls is best viewed when there is good water flow.
