McCarty’s Cove Beach is a quite popular beach on Lake Superior in Marquette, Michigan. McCarty’s Cove is located near the intersection of Lake Shore Boulevard and East Michigan Street. There is parking on East Michigan Street near the lake. This sandy beach has a lot to offer including a sand point, small rocky islands, sunrises over Lake Superior, and views of the Marquette Harbor Lighthouse.

There is a lifeguard on duty during the summer months. There is a small play area near the beach for youngsters as well as a picnic area. The beach also has a restroom. For those who are not interested in swimming, there are benches to relax on and take in the view; there is also a paved walking and biking path that runs by the beach.

McCarty’s Cove Beach is a great place to hang out on a warm summer day for visitors and locals alike.
