Wetmore Landing Beach is a beautiful one third of a mile stretch of sand located north of Marquette, Michigan on Lake Superior. The parking lot for Wetmore Landing is located off Country Road 550 about six miles north of Marquette. Parking at this lot requires a Michigan Recreation Pass.  It is about a 0.2 mile walk on Wetmore Beach Trail through the woods to reach the beach. The trail is flat and wide.

There is lots of room to find your own spot on this beach as it is not as popular as some of the beaches in the city of Marquette. This beach does not have lifeguards. Be aware of the weather conditions, as the surf can occasionally be treacherous. After enjoying the beach, consider hiking the scenic Wetmore Shoreline Trail which is part of the North Country Trail. The Wetmore Shoreline Trail runs near Lake Superior and offers stunning views.
