Chester Woods Campground is a drive-in campground located in Chester Woods Park east of Rochester, Minnesota. Chester Woods is an Olmsted County park. This campground has a total of 50 sites. There are 41 sites that have electric hookups with 50-amp service. There are two wheelchair accessible sites in the campground with electric service. There are also two camper cabins in the campground and two canoe-in campsites.

The campground is wooded so most of the sites have good shade. Most sites are somewhat close together so don’t expect too much privacy.

Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Firewood is available for sale at a woodshed in the campground; it is self-service. All the sites in the campground are back-in sites with gravel pads. The largest pad can accommodate an RV of up to 77 feet in length, most of the pads are about 60 feet in length. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the campground, except in the restroom.

The campground has a bathroom with showers. There is a dump station near the campground entrance. The campground is not open during the cold months.

For campers interested in hiking, there are a number of trails that are accessible from the campground. It is also a short walk from the campground, a beach and fishing docks.

Unlike Minnesota state parks, there is no fee to enter the park. All the sites can be reserved online or by phone. The Chester Woods Campground is a popular campground on weekends to be sure to reserve your sites early. There is a two night minimum stay on weekends and a three night minimum of holiday weekends.
