The Ogechie Campground is one of two drive-in campgrounds at Mille Lacs Kathio State Park. The Ogechie Campground is a rustic campground with no electric hookups or flush toilets. There is a drinking water faucet and two vault toilets at the campground. There are 26 sites located in a heavily forested area so the sites have good shade and decent privacy. Site number 11 is a double site with two back-in driveways and a common area for two parties to share. A two-site fee is charged for this site. A maximum of 4 vehicles and four sleep shelters is allowed on the double site.

This campground is geared towards tent campers since the sites have level, raised tent pads and the back-in driveways are about 30 feet long which will not accommodate many RVs. Each site has a fire ring and a picnic table. Firewood is available for sale at the park office. Dogs on a leash are allowed in the campground.

For campers interested in hiking and history, the campground is very close to the Landmark Trail runs by the sites of ancient Native American villages and near Ogechie Lake.

There is a dump station that serves both campgrounds that is available for use during the warm months. The Ogechie Campground is open from early April until late October.

In addition to the camping fees, there is a fee to enter the park; a day use or annual permit can be purchased at the park office.  All the sites can be reserved online or by phone. Mille Lacs Kathio State Park is a popular park, so camping spots get reserved quickly.
