The Paul and Ruth Henning Conservation Area offers those in the Branson area a chance to escape the tourism and entertainment crowds and landscape, and have access to a few hikes of varying difficulty levels, as well as just a chance to take in the views and catch a breath of fresh air.

The day use area has an observation deck and some interpretive signs immediately beside the parking area. There are multiple walking and hiking trails, including the Observation Tower Trail which follows a short paved loop path uphill through the forest before arriving at a 45 foot tall observation tower that visitors are welcome to climb.

There are also the Glade Trail and the Streamside Trail, which give hikers the chance to cross to the opposite side of the park if they choose.

For casual visitors to the Conservation Area, the views and the paved Observation Tower trail make for the best introduction. Benches sit along the walking path for breaks if needed.

Visitors should be aware that there is no water and no bathrooms onsite. The area is open for day use only.
