Whitefish City Beach is a popular destination with locals and tourists alike. The beach is located on the southern end of Whitefish Lake, a beautiful 7-mile-long glacial lake. The beach’s close location to town (you can walk or bike a paved pathway from the beach to downtown Whitefish) makes it one of the most popular access points on the entire lake.

At City Beach you’ll find lovely sandy beaches, as well as shaded grassy areas to relax or recreate. City Beach is also a perfect place to swim, with designated swimming areas. Gazebos and picnic tables can also be found here.

A boat launch and dock area is available at City Beach. It costs $10 for a day pass to use the boat launch, or $50 for a season pass. Boat rentals (kayaks, canoes, SUPs, paddle boats) are also available.

Restrooms are open during summer months, as is a concession stand with snacks, drinks and ice cream.
