This hike travels on several different trails to cover most of Washington Crossing State Park.  From the Washington Crossing Bridge parking lot, access the Delaware and Raritan Canal State Park Trail that runs parallel to the parking lot.  Turn right to the pedestrian overpass bridge to acces the trails.

After leaving the pedestrian bridge, walk the gravel path to the Green Dot trail for one mile.  The trail ends at Brickyard road.  Turn left towards the Knox Grove Day Use area and follow the road until it tunr right. On the left will be access to the Blue Dot trail.  The Blue Dot trail forms a large hairpin for 1.5 mile and crosses the Red Dot trail three times.  At the third intersection with the Red Dot trail, turn left.

Follow the Red Dot trail for about 1.25 miles where it joins the Yellow Dot trail.  Continue on the Red Dot trail until it ends on the Continental Lane trail.  Turn right and return to the pedestrian bridge and parking lot.
