Upper Rock Creek Falls is one of the gorge’s least known waterfalls. Tucked neatly away in the small town of Stevenson, Upper Rock Creek Falls is best viewed after rainfall or snowmelt. To access the falls, park at the Iman Cemetery entrance and walk straight through to the back gate. The falls will be visible from the edge of an abrupt drop-off.  Upper Rock Creek Falls is remarkably wide (~150 ft.) and roughly 40 ft. tall. In the spring, at peak flows you may be lucky enough to catch kayakers paddling over the falls.

Downstream and beyond private property lies Lower Rock Creek Falls, another more impressive falls, known as Money Drop to the kayaking community. This area is on private property and can only be accessed by watercraft via the creek directly. The banks surrounding both of these waterfalls should be navigated carefully, as it is made up of very geologically active soil. Within the past 5 years, landslides have altered Lower Rock Creek Falls from ~90 ft., to 40 ft., and to its current height of 60 ft..

The easy access and proximity to other waterfalls make this a great pit stop while en-route to other adventures.

The viewpoint from the cemetery is no longer open. They have moved the fence back away from the cliff edge and it is marked private property beyond that... I visited here in 2018 and brought my husband back. So disappointed at the change.
