If you’re around Escalante, take some time to hike to the little-known Covered Wagon Natural Bridge. From Escalante, Proctor Road eventually becomes Cedar Wash Road. The trailhead is 3.3 miles on Cedar Wash Road from where the road turns to a dirt road.  The road is passable with a standard passenger car unless it rains.

The trailhead is not marked and only a small pull-off. From the parking area there is an obvious trail that drops down into a wash.  Turn left and the natural bridge is a short distance away.  Explore a little further to see a carved out cave. When you’re ready, return the way you came.
