The Wedge Hill Trail is a short hiking trail with a quick hill climb inside River Island State Park to a point overlooking the Colorado River.

The trail's course climbs to a couple different overlook points, one being off of an easy single track trail only about 20' in elevation higher than the trailhead. Those looking to continue can head up the steeper slope to a bench that overlooks the park.

There are several smaller trails forking off in all directions, though as they all cross a relatively small area, they are easy to explore and see where they go. The lower benches overlooking the river may be even more scenic than the upper, and an empty and short mineshaft that is safe for exploration sits up a spur in the path.

Visitors can turn around and retrace their route back to the trailhead when they are ready.

There are no amenities located along the trail aside from the benches, however water, shade, and a sandy river beach with easy access to the Colorado River await you at the park when the hike is done.

The trail is part of the State Park and is subject to park rules and entry fees.
