Parking for this loop hike is at the Lehigh Gap Nature Center.  The trailhead is at the north end of the lot. Pass the signage and follow the trail up a steep section until it levels off onto a wide path that looks like a rail trail. This is the L and NE Trail. The next 2 miles is completely flat and has good views of the Lehigh River.

After one mile from the trailhead, the path widens with the Prairie Grass Trail on the left.  Continue on the L and NE Trail for another 1.2 miles.  On the left will be another access point for the Prairie Grass Trail with signage about Bear activity.  Turn left here and follow the Prairie Grass Trail up a steep section through the forest.  The trail is narrow and rocky in this section.  Once on top of the hill, the trail widens again and has good views of the Lehigh River.  After about .75 miles, the trail descends back down to the L and NE Trail.

Turn right and follow the L and NE Trail back out to the Nature Center.
