This small ruin is within Tonto National Forest boundry and located north of Cave Creek with views of a residential area to the south and wilderness to the north.  The trail is mostly a forest road and switches to a single track trail climbing to the summit.  There is many forest roads in this are popular with ATV and 4x4 enthusist.

The parking are is only big enough for two or three vehicles. To access the trail, unchain the gate across from the parking area to enter the national forest.  Remember to chain it back again once inside.  Turn right and follow the forest road for a few hundred yards.  Where the road splits, follow the left track.  Off in the distance on the left is a peak.  Downloading tracks would save time as there is many forest roads in the area.  The trail to the top of the peak and the ruins is on the back side of the peak.

At the 1.5 mile mark the trail will turn left at a dry wash ravine and begin climbing up.  The trail then splits off right after .25 miles and climbs up a wide track to a turn around point for ATVs.  The single track starts here and climbs up to some foundation ruins.  There is a few petroglyphs before going all the way to the top.  They are on the left side just around a corner.  The top has a great 360 dgree view.  I've seen reports that pottery shards can be found here but I didn't see any after 30 minutes of searching.

To get back to the trailhead, return the way you came in.
