China Hat Campground is located within the Deschutes National Forest, near the namesake China Hat cone-shaped formation (6,575 ft). The campground is especially popular with OHV enthusiasts. The campground is right in the heart of the East Fort Rock OHV Trail System, offering an abundance of trails to ride (open to dirt bikes and ATVs 50 inches wide or less, as well as mountain bikes, hikers and horses).

China Hat Campground offers 13 campsites. Lodgepole and ponderosa pines offer some shade. There is no fee to camp here.

At each campsite you’ll find a picnic table and fire ring. Amenities are otherwise limited, with only a vault toilet within the campground. There is no water available.

As you would expect with a no fee campground, reservations are not possible - all sites are first come, first served.
