Devils Peak is a 7,546’ peak located within the Sky Lakes Wilderness area in Southern Oregon. The summit provides stunning 360 degree views stretching far into the distance were you’ll be able to spot Mt McLoughlin, Mt Shasta, Upper Klamath Lake, Mt Thielsen and more.

There are a few different ways to access Devils Peak, one of these ways is starting from Sevenmile Marsh Trailhead, as described below.

Begin from the trailhead at the end of Forest Road 3334. Follow the Sevenmile Trail for just under 2 miles until you reach the junction with the PCT. Turn left.

At roughly the 4.5 mile mark you’ll come to a junction with the Seven Lakes Trail. This leads to the Seven Lakes Basin that features some beautiful lakes including Middle and Cliff Lake. It is well worth a short side trip if you have the time and energy.

Otherwise, continue on the PCT past the junction. You’ll climb steadily up toward the saddle between Devils Peak and Lee Peak. Note that this saddle is north facing and can hold snow well into July.

Once you’ve gained the saddle, enjoy the amazing view, then look for the use trail that leads to the summit of Devils Peak. It’s just a short jaunt from the saddle to the summit.

The summit views stretch for miles in all directions. If overnighting, there are one or two good camping spots on the summit and the sunset is spectacular, but only camp here in good weather.

When finished, return the way you came.
