Discovery Park is a large community park located near the NorthWest Crossing neighborhood of West Bend. The highlight of the park is a scenic 3 acre lake. Discovery park also spans to offer 12 acres of developed park, and an additional 25+ acres of undeveloped open space.

There is ample open grassy space to relax or recreate near the lake. Note that fishing is not allowed at the lake. The water can be enjoyed from a wooden dock, or from a natural play area for kids.

Paved walking/bicycling pathways encircle the lake and several benches and picnic tables make for a great place to take a break. There is also a small picnic shelter near the lake.

A fenced in dog park area is also located within the park and is perfect for letting your furry friends off leash.

To further explore the open undeveloped space of Discovery Park one can follow the signs to the Manzanita Trail. This natural surface trail takes hikers above the main park area.

Current construction of the Outback Trail is in progress and will soon connect Discovery Park with Shevlin Park to west. This should be a fantastic trail to explore once complete!
