The Link River Trail parallels the Link River near Moore Park in Klamath Falls. The trail begins from a small parking area near the southern shore of Upper Klamath Lake. You’ll cross through a gate (don’t worry if it looks like it’s closed, hikers and bikers are welcome - it is only closed to vehicles) then begin the hike.

The Link River trail follows a mellow gravel road as it passes alongside the Link River. You’ll soon come to the Link River Dam. The trail continues past the dam until coming to a junction with the falls trail.

Take this trail to the left. The short side trail leads down to the water and Klamath Falls. If you are expecting a proper waterfall you will be disappointed. Klamath Falls is more of a rapid than a waterfall, but still worth checking out.

The falls is a good turnaround point that makes this an easy 1.2 mile roundtrip hike. The Link River Trail does continue onwards if you choose to hike further. Otherwise, return the way you came back to the trailhead.
