Riverbend Park, completed in 2009, lies alongside the Deschutes River providing river access as well as large grassy areas to recreate or relax, picnic areas, and hiking/biking paths.

The park is located off Southwest Columbia Street. As you enter the park you’ll drive through a roundabout uniquely decorated with kayaks. The park offers great river access for kayaking or floating the Deschutes during the summer months.

A few paved pathways lead around a large central grassy area, with picnic tables and benches scattered throughout. There are also restrooms and a small covered picnic shelter area.

At the eastern end of the park you’ll find a dog park where you can let your furry friends off leash.

Perhaps the best part about Riverbend Park is the miles of trail you can access from here. The main paved pathway leads west alongside the river. A footbridge allows you to cross over the Deschutes where you can then venture into Farewell Bend Park, and then walk up to the Old Mill District or beyond. Alternatively, you can continue along the South Canyon Trails to experience more of the rugged and beautiful Deschutes River.
