Want Muang Wading Area is a wide slow-moving crescent area and series of shallow rapids in the Mae Klang River near the western entrance of Doi Inthanon National Park.

The area has a large parking lot, as well as dirt roads and trails accessing the water's edge, making it a very popular place for locals to picnic and wade at during the warm season.

At the lower area of the park where the slope is milder, there are plenty of small shoulders and paths leading to swimming holes and wading areas. Wang Muang is the only one with a central parking lot. Though the area isn't signed from the road, it's easy to see the large parking area. From there, visitors can walk down to the river, or cross to the opposite side to find a shady spot along the banks.

The water is cool and offers a refreshing spot in Thailand's warm humid weather. During the warm season, it's common to see Wang Muang get very crowded. However with only a couple trash cans in the area, the area can unfortunately get pretty littered. There are no other amenities here.

Wang Muang Wading Area lies inside Doi Inthanon National Park and is subject to park hours and fees.
